Section Policy
The Archives of Educational and Behavioral Sciences (AEBS) welcomes a wide range of scholarly contributions that reflect the diversity of research traditions in education, psychology, counseling, and the behavioral sciences. Rather than limiting authors to a single format, AEBS encourages submissions that best capture the nature of the inquiry and the contribution being made.
Research Articles
These papers report empirical findings from qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods designs. Submissions should clearly explain the research problem, outline the methodological approach, and discuss the significance of the findings for theory, practice, or policy.
Typical length: 5,000–7,000 words (excluding references)
Abstract: 250–300 words, structured
Meta-analysis
We welcome systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and scoping reviews that bring together existing evidence in a transparent and rigorous way. Reviews should follow internationally recognized guidelines (e.g., PRISMA) and highlight both what is known and what remains unanswered in the field.

Conceptual and Theoretical Papers
Articles that develop new frameworks, challenge existing perspectives, or integrate ideas across disciplines. These papers are expected to advance scholarly conversations and provide fresh directions for future inquiry.

Practice and Policy Reports
Analyses of innovative practices, counseling models, educational interventions, or policy initiatives that offer lessons for researchers and practitioners alike. Submissions in this category should emphasize real-world application and evidence-informed practice.

Brief Communications
Short reports presenting preliminary findings, pilot studies, or methodological innovations that may stimulate further investigation.
Typical length: 2,000–3,000 words

Book Reviews and Commentary
AEBS also publishes reviews of recent scholarly books as well as short commentaries that critically engage with previously published articles or pressing issues in the field.
