All submissions to Archives of Educational and Behavioral Sciences (AEBS) are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation to ensure impartiality and fairness. Our goal is to guarantee that published articles meet the highest standards of academic quality, relevance, and ethical integrity.

Editorial Screening

When a manuscript is submitted, it undergoes an initial check by the editorial team. This screening verifies that the paper:

  • Fits the scope of the journal

  • Meets formatting and submission requirements

  • Adheres to ethical guidelines

Submissions that do not meet these basic standards may be returned to authors for correction or, in some cases, declined without external review.

Review Process

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area. Reviewers are asked to assess:

  • Originality and significance of the research question

  • Methodological rigor and appropriateness of the design

  • Theoretical and practical contribution to education or behavioral sciences

  • Ethical compliance in data collection and reporting

  • Clarity and coherence of the manuscript’s presentation

Reviewers provide constructive feedback and make one of the following recommendations: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

The handling editor, together with the Editor-in-Chief, considers the reviewers’ comments and makes the final editorial decision. If there is a major discrepancy between reviewers, an additional expert opinion may be sought.

Timeline

The average time from submission to the first editorial decision is approximately 4–6 weeks. The total time to publication depends on the extent of revisions required.

Reviewer Ethics and Confidentiality

  • Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.

  • They must not share, use, or disclose the content under review.

  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be declared, and reviewers are expected to decline assignments if such conflicts exist.

AEBS follows the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers to ensure that the process remains transparent, fair, and academically sound.
