Archives of Educational and Behavioral Sciences (AEBS) is dedicated to preserving the integrity and reliability of the scholarly record. We follow internationally recognized best practices, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), in handling withdrawal, retraction, and correction of published work.

Withdrawal Policy

Before Editorial Decision

  • Authors may request withdrawal before an editorial decision is made by submitting a signed request from all co-authors to: editor@archedub.com

  • The request must clearly state the manuscript ID and title.

  • Withdrawal requests based only on dissatisfaction with editorial timelines or review outcomes are not acceptable.

After Acceptance / In Press Stage

  • Withdrawal after acceptance is strongly discouraged.

  • Requests will only be considered in exceptional cases, such as:

    • Authorship disputes or undisclosed conflicts of interest

    • Serious methodological or data-related errors

  • Inappropriate withdrawals at this stage may result in restrictions on future submissions.

Retraction Policy

A published article may be retracted if:

  • There is confirmed evidence of misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, falsified data, unethical research)

  • The article contains major errors that invalidate its findings (e.g., methodological flaws, incorrect analysis)

  • The work was previously published elsewhere (redundant publication)

  • Authorship is unauthorized, fraudulent, or disputed

Process

  • Retraction may be initiated by the authors, editors, or relevant institutions.

  • An investigation is conducted in accordance with COPE Retraction Guidelines.

  • If retraction is warranted:

    • A retraction notice will be issued and linked to the original article

    • The original article remains accessible but marked clearly as “Retracted” for transparency

Corrections and Expressions of Concern

  • Corrections (Errata): Issued for errors that do not compromise the validity of the research but require clarification.

  • Expressions of Concern: Published when there are serious concerns under investigation, but evidence is insufficient to warrant retraction.

Transparency and Archiving

AEBS ensures that all withdrawn, corrected, or retracted articles remain permanently visible with clear notices. This approach aligns with principles of academic transparency and international indexing requirements.
