Complaints & Appeals Policy
Archives of Educational and Behavioral Sciences (AEBS) is committed to maintaining fairness, transparency, and integrity in all stages of the editorial and publishing process. We take seriously any concerns raised by authors, reviewers, or readers, and we handle them in line with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Complaints
A complaint may involve issues such as:
-
Unreasonable editorial or review delays
-
Perceived bias or unfair treatment in editorial decisions
-
Reviewer misconduct or inappropriate feedback
-
Technical difficulties with submission or access to published content
-
Ethical concerns related to published material
-
Potential breaches of confidentiality or privacy
How to Submit a Complaint
Complaints should be submitted via email to the editorial office at: editor@aebsjournal.com
Please include:
-
Full name and contact information
-
Manuscript ID (if relevant)
-
A clear explanation of the concern, along with any supporting evidence
Response Time
-
All complaints will be acknowledged within 5 business days
-
A full written response will be provided within 2–4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the case
Complaints are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or a senior editorial representative who was not directly involved in the matter.
Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions if they believe that:
-
A factual error affected the decision
-
Reviewer feedback was unfair or biased
-
The journal’s stated policies were not followed during review or decision-making
Appeal Procedure
-
Appeals must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the decision
-
The appeal should clearly outline the basis for the request and include supporting materials
-
A senior editor, or if necessary, an independent external advisor, will re-evaluate the case
Please note: Disagreement with an editor’s academic judgment alone is not sufficient grounds for appeal. Appeals are only considered if there is evidence of a procedural or ethical concern.
Final Decision
The outcome of the appeal will be communicated in writing and is considered final.
Commitment
AEBS ensures that all complaints and appeals are addressed with confidentiality, impartiality, and professionalism.
